An exquisite King James 1613/1614 Roman Font Holy Bible superbly rebound in contemporary style leather covers with beautiful antique double closing hasps with leather straps.
Beautifully well preserved over almost 4 centuries -  King James Bibles printed with the 'she' text in Ruth 3:15 ("... and she went into the city" ). This is also one of the very FEW Roman Font early quarto editions of the KJV.
It is complete (see remarks below) with both Bible title pages and drawn borders around the text. Both the General Tile/Old Testament title page (dated 1614) and the New Testament title page (dated 1613) is a woodcut-engraved title with words in a sort of heart shape in the center; woodcuts depict 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples. This Bible is including all preliminary leaves (dedication, preface, list of books). In the front it is bound together with an incomplete Book of Common Prayer (lacks before the Catechism) and a partial Speed's Genealogies (seems to lack about 4 leaves).
It also has a  the complete Apocrypha, and a  "Booke of Psalmes" (with title page, "Company of Stationers, 1615", with musical bars (lacks after Psalm 59).  The Bible itself ends with colophon 1613. Various decorated first chapter capitals, colophons and other engravings.
This is Herbert's 324 (from the Historical Catalogue of Printed Bibles) and it includes the 'S Suke' (in stead of S Luke) misprint on page A2 - Luke chapter X)

Beautifully - very professionally - rebound in contemporary style with the metal/leather closing hasps!. This QUARTO sized King James Bible is in an overall VERY GOOD  condition. Complete Bible text with title pages, with the first page of Genesis replaced with a facsimile. This Bible has clearly been very well read and cared for and is remarkable good condition. The binding is in excellent (antiquarian quality restored) condition - you can use, read and open it daily without having to worry about it coming apart. The (cotton based) paper is remarkable crisp and clean. Some scribbles by previous owners (provenance); Various pages (as to be expected, mainly in the front and the back of the book) with some (mostly smaller) damages - like tears, cut corners, frayed edges, stains etc (see the many pictures below). Margins around all text, the New Testament has some cut headers.

An exquisite 1613/1614 Roman Font King James Bible with closing hasps!
