Printed in London by the renowned Robert Barker.
The Geneva Bible is often referred to as the 'Breeches' Bible because of its translation in Genesis 3:7 as "and they sowed figge-tree leaves together, and made themselves breeches" (the KJV has "aprons").
"The Bible: Translated According to the Hebrew and Greek, and Conferred with the Best Translations in Divers (various) Languages. With Most Profitable Annotations Upon All Hard Places and Other Things of Great Importance as May Appear in the Epistle to the Reader. And also a most profitable Concordance, for the ready finding out of any thing in the same contained."

Also bound with a complete book of Genealogies (no title, 34 pages) and the double page map of Canaan, 2 Concordances (tables) and at the end a metric musical Psalter (with title of 1615, lacks after Psalm 148). Stunningly bound in morocco leather covers with wooden boards and a 4 band spine with the text 'Geneva Bible - 1615'.
This QUARTO sized Geneva Bible is in an overall VERY GOOD and DAILY USABLE condition. gorgeous and excellent binding. Gold gilt pages. Complete Bible text . Average wear and some soiling, light foxing, Some text loss in the margin of Isaiah page 57. Fair/tight margins around the pages (occasionally cutting into the headers).
