1668 King James 'Preaching' Bible, published by John Fields in Cambridge. This is the famous Preaching Bible - so called as it allowed the preacher to use it while preaching from the pulpit or at any other occasion with access to the full Bible text and without having to carry a huge Bible - it was the favorite Bible to use for outreach purposes of the time.
The Bible is absolutely complete in every aspect (with 2 engraved title pages 1668) and bound with an extensive Concordance (Index Biblicus)
All original (engraved) titles are present. The Bible is printed in Roman letter style; two columns, fairly small print. Especially the general Bible title is very eloquently engraved.
Title: "The Holy Bible, containing the Old Testament, and the New: Newly Translated out of the Original Tongues: And with the former translations diligently compared & revifed, By his Majesties special command, Appointed to be read in Churches. Cambridge, printed by John Field, Printer to the University, 1668"
The Bible condition is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT condition. The Bible's binding is holding well and the book opens and reads very comfortable (handle with care as always) . Complete in every aspect. Clean pages with occasional light foxing. (See the pictures)
