[Flanders, Belgium: circa 1210-1240]. 125 x 90 mm. (4.75 x 3.5 in). 18 lines to the single column written in Latin in a gothic rotunda.

An early 13th century leaf from a beautifully illuminated psalter. Seventeen illuminated one-line initials with all of them joined with an illuminated one-sided and three-sided bar border against blue and red colors.

Text begins with Psalm 119:155 and ends on Psalm 119:172.

Condition

Some browning and light ink staining to edges; minor stains not impacting text with light edge-wear.
