Geneva-Tomson-Junius. General title page (n.d.), ruled in red and engraved with the four gospel symbols surrounded by the tents of the twelve tribes and the twelve apostles. Full-page wood engraving of Adm and Eve in the Garden facing Genesis 1. Text in two column Roman font, the whole ruled in red throughout. Includes Apocrypha as issued. Printed New Testament title page (1607) with head and tailpiece. Bible text ends with the Two Tables and bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes (1609) by Sternhold and Hopkins with printer’s device. First chapter woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces throughout.

Expertly rebound in red paneled morocco by F.E. Stoakley in Cambridge. Covers with double gilt-lined border and corner fleurons. Spine with five raised bands and the text “Holy Bible” and “London 1607” lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt.
Condition
Occasional marginal spotting, especially to final two leaves of Psalter; Mmm1 small repair to fore-edge margin; hardly a flaw to be noted – a crisp, clean, and fine antiquarian text.
