General title page (1609) with woodcut border comprising twenty-four small compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Text in two column Roman font with the complete set of Geneva illustrations and maps. Printed title page to the Second Part before Psalms. Apocrypha removed, likely by a zealous Puritan. New Testament title page (1609) with similar woodcut border. This copy contains a misprint at John 6:67 where it reads “Judas” instead of “Jesus.” Ends on colophon (1609). First chapter woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces throughout.

Binding
Professionally rebound in dark brown calf. Spine with four gilt-lined raised bands, one gilt-lined black label with the words “Holy Bible” lettered in gilt. Gilt tooling to compartments. Plain endpapers.
Condition
Good margins throughout with a strong impression; small pin-hole over the “u” in Judas at John 6:67; occasional, mostly marginal staining or ink blots; Aaa8-Bbb4 dark staining to upper few lines of text; a clean, and attractive copy of an illustrated Geneva Bible with a collectible misprint.
