Description
Begins with the Book of Common Prayer. Bound with the illustrated Genealogies by J[ohn] S[peed] depicting the lineage from Adam to Christ, without the double-page map. General title page (1611) with woodcut border comprising twenty-four small compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Text in two column black letter, with a dozen or so 19th century steel engravings laid in. With Apocrypha as issued. With Two Right Profitable and Fruitful Concordances by R[obert] F. H[errey] with printed title page and colophon (1611). Concludes with the The Whole Booke of Psalmes with printed title page (1612). First chapter woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces throughout.

Binding
Rebacked brown polished and paneled calf over oak boards. Covers paneled in blind with corner fleurons, and with brass centerpiece and four cornerpieces to each board. Front board lacking centerpiece. Evidence of clasps. Spine with four recessed bands, early rebacked over original spine. Endpapers renewed.
Condition
Occasional staining and browning; BCP lacks title and prelims; First few surviving leaves of BCP frayed; first two quires loose; general title with small marginal loss, including upper gutter; [par 4], A1 with lower marginal loss; Z6-Bb2 with upper marginal loss; trimmed in New Testament, occasionally touching headlines; Rrr-Sss pulled; Palster lacks final few leaves of Prayers, as common; rubbed with small loss to foot of spine. An excellent addition of a Geneva Bible in contemporary boards for the discerning collector.
