General title page (1567) ruled in red. Text in single column Roman font, ruled in red throughout. Decorated woodcut initial for start of every chapter. Large woodcuts in Exodus. Ends with Table and Index.

*^8, a-z^8, aa-hh^8, ii^6, A-Z^8, Aa-Bb^8, Aa-Oo^8, Pp^6, A-C^8, D-E^6, A^8, B-C^6. Complete.
Binding
Rebound in dark brown mottled calf. Covers paneled in gilt. Spine with five gilt-lined raised bands and a black morocco label with the words “Biblia Sacra” and the year 1567 lettered in gilt to spine. Endpapers renewed.
Condition
Title page strengthened to edges; ex-library stamp of “S. SPO” to title page; a-h frayed to edges with dampstain and lower marginal corner loss; intermittent dampstain, primarily to lower edge and fore-edge, not entering text. A good copy of a large pre-Clementine Vulgate Bible.
Provenance
Name of Henry Willard inked to title page. Early seventeenth century inscription of “F. Leonardi Coquaei Aurelii …” with date of 1606 to foot of title page.
