Begins with the New Testament title page used as the general title. New Testament title page printed with woodcut of the Red Sea. Text in two column Roman font. Complete set of woodcut illustrations and maps. Bound with a map at the end of Ezekiel entitled The Forme of the Temple & Citie Restored. Includes Apocrypha as issued. Fold-out map of the Countries and Places Mentioned in Acts inserted before the New Testament. Bible text ends with the Two Tables. Bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes (1583) by Sternhold and Hopkins with architectural border. First chapter woodcut initials throughout.

Binding
Rebound in late twentieth century black morocco. Boards with double blind-lined panels and corner fleurons. Spine with five raised bands, fleurons to compartments, and with the title “Holy Bible” lettered in gilt on red skiver label. All edges red. Endpapers renewed.
Condition
Particularly clean and bright with wide margins; Ddd3 with closed marginal tear; map at Ezekiel with 50% loss; Fold-out map before NT with loss of text only to lower corner and repaired; Psalter lacks final two leaves of prayers, as common; infrequent and minimal toning and browning; an excellent copy.
