General title page (1602) with an architectural border featuring a lion and a dragon. Full-page woodcut of Adam and Eve in the Garden before Genesis. Text in two column black letter. Complete set of woodcut illustrations and maps. Woodcut architectural title featuring Lady Justice and Mercy before Psalms. Includes Apocrypha as issued. New Testament with Tomson’s revision and title page (1602) with design like general title. Concludes with the Two Tables ending on dated colophon (1602). Woodcut first chapter initials, head- and tailpieces throughout.

Binding
Rebound in light brown calf with contemporary boards laid down. Covers paneled in blind with corner fleurons. Spine with five raised bands. Two functioning clasps and hasps. Endpapers renewed. Upper hinge starting but firm.
Condition
A1 (Genesis 1) soiled and guarded with tissue paper; A2,6 strengthened to margins; 5M5 edges frayed; occasional soiling and staining; a very attractive and clean copy with good margins throughout.
