Description
General title page (1602) with woodcut border comprising twenty-four small compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Text in two column black letter type. Apocrypha included as issued. Similar New Testament title page (1602). Concludes with the Two Concordances with a printed title page (1602) and dated colophon (1602). Woodcut first chapter initials and decorated head and tailpieces throughout.

Binding
Rebound in speckled calf. Covers with double gilt panels and rolled in blind. Spine with four raised bands and gilt and blind tooling to compartments with a red morocco label and the words “Holy Bible” and “1602” to head and foot of spine. Plain endpapers. All edges red.
Condition
General title page slightly soiled, remargined to gutter just reducing border; A,B with a handful of wormholes; Tt1-3 circular stain touching five lines of text; final leaf of Concordances soiled with repaired closed tear; a clean and bright copy with wide margins.
