Rebacked black morocco with red calf. Red spine with six blind-lined raised bands and the words “Holy Bible” lettered in gilt. “For the Communion Table Parish of Sutton 1842” lettered in gilt to upper board. Plain endpapers.

Genealogies title page soiled with edge repairs; Genealogies lacks the first leaf with a few closed tears to subsequent leaves; some soling primary to first leaves of Genesis and final leaves of text; A1, Gg3, Mm5, Gggg1, Kkkk2 with lower corner marginal loss; small upper marginal stain to New Testament text; Psalter lacks all after Psalm 142.
