Begins with the illustrated Genealogies by John Speed. General title page (1615) with woodcut border comprising twenty-four small compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Text in two column black letter. Bound without the Apocrypha. The New Testament title page (1615) with similar woodcut border. Concludes with a colophon. Bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes (1616) with printer’s device. Woodcut first chapter initials and decorated head- and tailpieces throughout.

Binding
Nineteenth century brown calf, rebacked. Spine with five raised bands and gilt tooling to compartments. The words “Holy Bible” and “London 1615” lettered in gilt. Covers with double gilt-paneled border and corner fleurons. Inner dentelles in blind, marbled endpapers.
Condition
M2 small inkspot impacting a few letters; P5 closed tear across page without loss; Nn3-4, Qq4-5 cropped to fore-edge costing a letter of sidenotes only; Nn8 small upper loss; contemporary alphabet practice to verso of NT title; final leaf of Psalter soiled; Occasional browning and spotting, but a clean copy overall.
