General title page (1627) engraved within woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title within a heart-shaped frame and the whole ruled in red. The Genealogies by J[ohn] S[peed] within border (n.d.) and ruled in red. The double-page map of the Promised Land. Text in two column Roman font and ruled in red throughout. Lacks the Apocrypha, as common. New Testament title page (1627) similar to the general title. Concludes with colophon (1627) at the end of Revelation. Various woodcut first chapter initials and head- and tailpieces.

Binding
Contemporary gilt-paneled morocco boards around a central design with roll tolls and corner fleurons. Spine with five raised bands and elaborate gilt tooling to compartments. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Inner dentelles.
Condition
Rubbed, corners bumped, small loss to head and tail of spine; joints worn with upper joint just starting; Gggg2 (final leaf of Revelation) loose and laid down with repaired closed tear. Crisp, clean, and bright with good margins.
