Begins with The Book of Common Prayer lacking all before B5. Bound with the illustrated Genealogies by John Speed, lacking six leaves. General title page (1628) engraved within a woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Text in a two column black letter type. With Apocrypha as issued. Similar New Testament title page (1628). Ends on dated colophon (1628). Bound with The Whole Book of Psalms without title page, lacking all after Psalm 110. First chapter woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces.

Collation 

A^8, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Rrr^8. Bible text complete with both title pages. 

Binding 

Rebacked brown calf. Boards paneled in blind with corner fleurons. Spine with four raised bands, blind tooling to compartments, and a red gilt-lined label with the words “Holy Bible” in gilt and a date of 1628 to foot. Plain endpapers. Protected in a clamshell box. 

Condition

Occasional staining, mostly to margins; general title laid down on old paper with loss to lower right border; A4,Cc8,Qq1,Lll4 repaired to margins; lower edge of NT title strengthened; B3-D perhaps supplied from another copy; Eee4 slight lower marginal loss; final quire of Psalter frayed to edges.
