Begins with The Book of Common Prayer lacking all before B4, ends on colophon (1632). General title page (1634) engraved within a woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame.. Text in a two column black letter type. With Apocrypha as issued. Similar New Testament title page (1634). Bound with The Whole Book of Psalms with printed title page (1633) in decorative border, lacking all after Psalm 145. First chapter woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces.

A^8, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Kkk^8, Lll^4. Complete with both title pages.
Binding
Rebacked brown calf. Boards with all eight metal cornerpieces and centerpieces. Evidence of clasps. Spine with four raised bands and a black gilt-lined label with the words “Holy Bible” in gilt and a date of 1634 to foot. Plain endpapers. Protected in a red clamshell box.
Condition
A1-2,N1-2,Bb7 repairs to margins without text loss; F2 repaired closed tear; NT title page laid down; Ggg small circular stain affecting a few words; infrequent staining or soiling. An attractive copy with metalwork.
Provenance
Inscription to verso of general title page reading “Isaac Knight his book this is his book I say and in it he will give any one lef to look but not to kary it away.” Below is penciled “John Stenhen 1759.”
