Begins with the printed title page of the Book of Common Prayer (1678), the BCP is complete. Bound with an additional engraved title page (1678) preceding the printed title (1678). Text in two column Roman font, the whole ruled-in-red throughout. Apocrypha included as issued. Printed New Testament title page (1678). Bound with the complete Whole Booke of Psalms (1678). First chapter floriated initials throughout.

A^2, B-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Lll^8, Mmm^4 (Old Testament), a-n^8, O^4 (Apocrypha), A-S^8, T^2 (New Testament). Complete with all titles.
Binding
Brown contemporary double paneled calf. Covers with panels, corner fleurons, thistle motifs, and ornaments stamped in gilt. Spine with five raised bands and gilt tooling to compartments. Two silver-colored clasps. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Hinges cracked, rubbed, bumped to corners, and top of spine.
Condition
Crisp, clean, and bright throughout.
Note
A lovely King James Bible with a red-ruled text. The binding is all contemporary, a rare survival from the celebrated era of English bookbinding in the late seventeenth century.
