Engraved general title page (1679) with a red-ruled architectural border. Text ruled in red throughout in two column Roman font. Without Apocrypha as issued. Printed New Testament title page (1679).
Collation
A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Zzz^8, Aaaa-Bbbb^8 . Complete with both title pages.
Binding
Later brown morocco. Boards ruled in blind. Spine with five blind-lined raised bands and “Holy Bible” and “1679” in gilt. Endpapers renewed. All edges gilt.
Condition
First three leaves (including title) with a small hole. Title page frayed to edges with a short closed tear. Pages are crisp and clean overall, with spotting and browning in a handful of places.
