The complete Book of Common Prayer with engraved pictorial title page (1685), adjacent frontispiece, and five engraved plates. New Testament Bible text in two column Roman font with 101 engraved plates depicting narrative scenes. Bound with a complete Whole Booke of Psalms, lacking the title page only.

Aaa-Iiii^16, Kkk^8. Bible text complete.
Binding
Handsomely tooled in contemporary black morocco, likely by the Queen’s Binder. Panels with elaborate all-over gilt tooling featuring drawer handle tools with lilies, roses, and other foliate designs. Spine with five raised bands and gilt-tooling to compartments. Neatly rebacked retaining original backstrip. Marbled endpapers. Inner dentelles. All edges gilt.
Condition
“C.K. Pollard Dec 2005” to front endpaper; Bookplate on front pastedown sometime removed; some faint marginal browning or damp-stains but overall pretty clean.
