General title page with printed border (1715) and bound with an engraved title of The Historical Part of the Holy Bible by J. Cole. Text in two column Roman font. Extra illustrated with over 50 full-page engraved plates. Apocrypha included as issued. Printed New Testament title page (1715). Large fourteen-line first chapter historical initials. Bound with the Whole Book of Psalms by Sternhold and Hopkins with title page and headpiece (1710).

Binding
Contemporary black morocco. Covers with red oval morocco inlay with Christogram in gilt, surrounded by gilt panels with fleurs-de-lys, thistle, floral, and crown motifs. Spine six raised bands, richly decorated in gilt. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Slightly rubbed.
Condition
Text is clean and bright with wide margins; infrequent staining; BCP title page trimmed and strengthened on verso; one plate with short tear into image and old repair on verso; two short marginal tears.
