Printed title page (1748) surrounded by printed border. Text in two column Roman font. Bound with A Companion to the Altar with printed title page and frontispiece of the Last Supper. Bound with The Whole Book of Psalms with printed title page (1746). Three engraved headpieces.
Binding
Elaborately gilt-decorated and contemporary red crushed morocco. Covers with gilt-tooled centerpiece featuring flowers, tulips, and stars surrounded by a cottage roof binding. Rebacked with original spine laid down. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Housed in a modern red slipcase.
Condition
Upper joint repaired, corners bumped; minor loss to upper right margin of title page; A2 loss to bottom left corner; contemporary ownership inscription to front flyleaf.
