Elaborately bound in brown calf. Boards paneled in gilt with corner fleurons around a gilt stamped centerpiece. Spine with four raised bands, extensive tooling to compartments, with a gilt-lined red morocco label with the words “Holy Bible” in gilt. Marbled endpapers. Inner dentelles.
Condition
BCP lacks title page; light foxing and staining at front and rear of volume; pages clean and bright; lacks New Testament title page. A very nicely rebound King James Bible.

Bound with four vellum leaves between the Testaments detailing the family history of Hannah Hartley (1738-1796) through Thomas Hartley (died 1877).
