Description
Begins with the Book of Common Prayer at the Morning Prayers. The Genealogies with printed title page by J[ohn] S[peed]. The general title page (1613) engraved within woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Both titles omit the words “Appointed …”. Text in two column black letter. Ruth 3:15 with “she went…” Apocrypha included as issued. New Testament title page (1614) with border like the general title. Concludes with colophon (1614) and tailpiece. Bound with Two Right Profitable and Fruitful Concordances with printed title page (1615). Concludes with the Whole Booke of Psalmes (1618), lacking all after Psalm 113. Various woodcut first chapter initials and head- and tailpieces.

A^8, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Sss^8. Complete with all title pages.
Binding
Rebacked in contemporary blind paneled calf, preserving original backstrip. Spine with four raised bands. Beveled oak boards tooled and rolled in blind with center bosses and four (of eight) corner pieces. Evidence of claps, metal back strips perished. Plain endpapers. All edges red.
Condition
Clean and bright with infrequent marginal soiling; E1 of Genealogies with small loss to lower edge; Ggg1, Ooo2 with lower corner marginal loss; final signature of Psalter frayed to edges. A very good or better copy of a scarce and valuable King James Bible.
